This summer, the most important reminder we can give is simple: never leave pets in a hot car. It's a message we care about deeply as a community business — it can be fatal, and it can happen much faster than most people realize. How Hot Does a Car Actually Get? This is where many well-meaning pet owners underestimate the danger. A parked car is not just warm — it becomes an oven, and quickly. On an 85°F day, the inside of a parked car can reach 102°F in just 10 minutes — and over 120°F within 30 minutes. Cracking a window makes almost no difference.
