This is where many well-meaning pet owners underestimate the danger. A parked car is not just warm — it becomes an oven, and quickly. On an 85°F day, the inside of a parked car can reach 102°F in just 10 minutes — and over 120°F within 30 minutes. Cracking a window makes almost no difference.
